It all started when…
To expand on the success of the chef's table-top Mandolin slicer, we developed a new compact hand-held Mandolin and Julianne slicers for OXO. The food guard snaps to the slicers to protect the blade, santoprene grip areas for firm control in the hand and use directly over bowl. We developed an innovative and simple method to adjust the blade for varied slice thickness and a lock setting to protect hand from the blade during cleaning and storage. We developed the best groove pattern to guide the food over the blade as well as reduce surface friction.
