HELLO!
With 20+ years of experience working in the design industry, I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work on a large range of products and services. My experience spans categories including home wares, consumer electronics, medical products, hospitality, consumer packaged goods, financial services and of course, wearables. I’ve worked at design and innovation agencies as well as large corporations. In my current role as Wearables Industrial Design Manager at Google, I am lucky enough to work with some truly talented folks where I lead the design of Google Pixel Watch. My approach to management is through hands on design and human empathy. I have been named on numerous patents and some of the products I worked on have even won awards!

Ultimately design is about applying the right insights. As a designer I like to be involved at all stages of the product development process, and as a strategic thinker I apply design thinking to challenges beyond 'things'.

EXPERIENCE
I am currently Wearables Industrial Design Manager at Google where we design smart, wearable accessories that live at the intersection of hardware, software and fashion. Notable launches include Google Pixel Watch and Google Pixel Buds families. In my role of Industrial Design manager, I oversee the ID design team, lead projects, act as main point of contact for our cross-functional partners and leaders while fostering my directs’ growth and development.
Previously at Google NYC I held the title Creative Lead, Accessories, where I led the industrial design, design strategy and creative direction of watchbands, and participated in the creation of RFID enabled smart Live Case phone cases for Android.
Previously I held the title Design Director at Redscout, a strategy & innovation agency dedicated to transforming the futures for ambitious brands & businesses. I led talented teams of designers and strategists through a variety of projects centered around driving innovation for our clients, from brand positioning and product architectures to product and packaging design.
Before Redscout, I was a Senior Industrial Designer at renowned design agency Smart Design, where I designed many products that went to shelf and cut my teeth in the New York agency world.
I started my career in Eindhoven, The Netherlands where I worked at Philips Design as a Product Designer for the Medical and Consumer Electronics teams. I also had the privilege to work on the Next Simplicity future vision project where I designed new interactive lighting experiences.
I was educated in England, receiving a 1st BA (Hons) at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in Product Design. I dipped my toes in the professional design world by interning with design legend Tom Dixon, the talented Barber Osgerby and the London innovation agency PDD.
Outside of the workplace I continue to explore my passion for working with my hands and creating products with a deep consideration for simplicity in execution and honesty in materials.
